Fashion, Music and Art (Rocks!): Pop (-Up Shop) Goes Harlem!
I have a serious affection for Harlem. I'm totally digging this part of town. My love runs real deep. But, if you're not already, I am sure that this event will have you jonesin' for more of SoHa when you leave. Check it: A Pop-Up Shop is a Pop-Up Shop is a Pop-Up Shop. Blah, blah, blah. But throw in a DJ, cocktails, art by up-and-coming artists and designers and host it all in a sick brownstone, now you have a party. Such is the case this Saturday @ Harlem Pop: A Parlour Session. From the Host: Harlem Pop is part of an ongoing series of "PoP Up Experience Shops" that utilize unconventional spaces to house one-day installations of art, music and fashion by emerging artists of various mediums. All works exhibited are available to purchase. Sweet. Indigo Arms Guest House, 181 Lenox Avenue @ 119th Street, 10/17: 2 - 7 p.m.

It seems these pop up galleries are showing up all over the city. Check out a dance/photography collaboration housed at the Port Authority, of all places. I blogged about it here:
